9201 Gallery is the spatial expression of Kunihiko Yazawa’s artistic philosophy and vision of “art that emerges from dialogue, art that creates dialogue.” It is an experimental space that invites the public to engage in a dialogue to explore the possibilities of art in the world today.
Since our founding in 2013, we have presented exhibitions of Yazawa’s evolving art, and regularly host Yazawa’s ongoing large-scale participatory art project, EGAKU. It is a site for dialogue connecting people and ideas, connecting art to society, business, education through talks, workshops and other creative collaborations - bringing art as an experience to our daily lives.
We are located in a quiet leafy enclave in central Tokyo overlooking the Akasaka Imperial Gardens.
